Travel that gives back: Every booking directly supports rainforest conservation project.
This is perhaps the most distinctive itinerary in the Aqua Mekong portfolio. Unlike standard cruises that simply shuttle between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, this expedition ventures north of the capital to the serene Upper Mekong provinces of Kampong Cham and Kratie. The highlight is undoubtedly the excursion to the Kampi pools, one of the last remaining habitats of the critically endangered Irrawaddy dolphin.
After exploring these quiet, rural reaches of Cambodia—where colonial architecture and ancient temples sit undisturbed—we turn south to cross the border into Vietnam. The contrast is striking: from the meditative calm of the dolphin grounds to the vibrant, commercial energy of the Mekong Delta's floating markets and canals. It offers the most diverse cross-section of river life available on a single voyage.
