What we love about the Jayavarman
All 27 cabins have private balconies.
The 2023 relaunch added an open kitchen in the restaurant.
Khmer art, French-colonial detail and local objects give the ship strong character.
Routes connect Saigon, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap on 3, 4 and 7-night options.

Jayavarman is Heritage Line's art-filled Lower Mekong ship for travelers who want Vietnam and Cambodia with comfort, context and a strong sense of place. She carries 54 guests in 27 balcony cabins: Superior Staterooms on the main deck, Deluxe Staterooms on the upper deck and two Signature Suites at the front of the ship. Cabins are 20 to 27 sqm, with air conditioning, private balcony, bathroom, minibar, safe and Wi-Fi when the network allows. The ship feels like a floating gallery: Khmer sculpture, French-colonial references, carved wood, local textiles and a warm, lived-in atmosphere. On board you have the Henry Mouhot Lounge, Club 1930 Bar, Indochine Dining Hall with open kitchen, Apsara Spa, sun deck and Jacuzzi pool. Ashore, the point is the Mekong: villages, temples, markets, craft, local food, border history and the changing life between Vietnam and Cambodia. The strongest travel window is usually November to March for cooler, drier weather, though water levels influence docking. During lower-water periods, Siem Reap connections can involve a long road transfer from or to Kampong Cham. Choose Jayavarman if you want culture, comfort and character. It is not for travelers who need a tiny expedition boat or a minimalist onboard feel.

Jayavarman takes food seriously. Expect Asian, Khmer, Vietnamese, fusion and Western dishes, daily changing dinners, breakfast and lunch buffets, live cooking, an open kitchen, barbecue evenings, afternoon tea and balcony breakfast. Dietary requests can usually be handled with advance notice.
Jayavarman's main sustainability advantage is scale and sourcing: 54 guests, local crew and guides, local ingredients where possible, and shore visits that spread time across villages, markets and cultural sites. Organized transfers also reduce ad-hoc transport around the cruise.
