Yasuní National Park is one of the strongest reasons to choose an Ecuador Amazon river journey. The park is not a single viewpoint. It is a vast rainforest system of river islands, flooded edges, forest trails, bird calls, primates, reptiles and, with luck, pink river dolphin habitat.
The Manatee Explorer reaches this region by water, then uses canoes, kayaks and guided walks to bring the forest closer. That is the right scale for Yasuní. A larger ship can carry you there; the smaller craft and the guides make the place legible.
Come for biodiversity, river light, patient observation and the feeling of moving through a living forest rather than visiting a staged attraction.
Yasuní National Park is part of the Ecuadorian Amazon and is internationally known for biodiversity.
The area is reached from Coca by river routes along the Napo system.
Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, but the region is important for birds, primates, reptiles and river-dolphin habitat.
