Compare handpicked Chobe River cruises.
This page brings together the small-ship river journeys beside Botswana's Chobe National Park that we think are worth your attention. We check the boats, routes, dates, prices, availability, and operator standards, then present the strongest options in one place.
Use the filters below to compare departure dates, ships, prices, and remaining spaces. Availability is refreshed regularly, usually every 15 minutes. If a trip fits and only a few spaces remain, place a no-obligation booking while you decide.
We are independent advisors. Our job is not to push one operator. It is to help you find the Chobe River cruise that actually fits: the right boat size, the right wildlife focus, and the right balance between the main vessel, tender-boat outings, and time ashore.
The Chobe is not a corridor between monuments. It is a working border river and a source of water for people, farms, and wildlife. Along its southern bank lies Botswana's Chobe National Park. Across parts of the river is Namibia's Zambezi Region. That geography shapes every journey here.
A Chobe River safari changes the normal safari rhythm. Instead of driving from sighting to sighting, you watch the riverbank from the deck or leave the houseboat in a smaller tender. Elephants, hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, and birds may come into view, but wildlife is never scheduled. The value is in time, patience, and a guide who can read the water.
The boat is useful: a base, a bed, and a moving viewpoint. The river and the park remain the reason to travel.
Most multi-day Botswana river cruises here are compact journeys on the Chobe rather than long point-to-point voyages. The main vessel, such as the Zambezi Queen, may travel only a modest distance. Daily tender-boat outings do much of the close wildlife viewing, and some itineraries combine the river with a land safari or Victoria Falls.
Read the border arrangements carefully. Some houseboats operate from the Namibian side of the river while looking across to Chobe National Park in Botswana. That does not make the wildlife experience less real, but it can affect transfers, passport formalities, and how much time is spent physically ashore in Botswana. We compare those details before recommending a trip.
